LOVE IT!

Review: I am a sucker for a good fake tan but hate hate hate using gloves or waking up with orange fingers despite how many times I've washed my hands, they remind me of churros and make me hungry. At Sally Beauty Supply, I came across the Solerra Mit Tan Bronze Self-Tanning Mitt, with the subtitle "For the BEGINNER Self-Tanner." I've never used a mitt so I figured beginner was me. I bought advanced as well but haven't made a go at it yet.

Packaging: Nothing fancy, you cut open the ends and shove your hand in and start going at it.

Application/ Consistency: It was so easy to apply. The liquid applied evenly and dried in less than a minute and could see a change in color right away, which of course filled the need for instant gratification.

Scent: The scent at first was better than most self-tanning lotions, I hate smelling like a stinky sweaty man luckily eventually smelled that way.

Repurchase: YES IF I COULD FIND IT. They have similar items at Sally Beauty and Ulta Beauty.

Price: Paid $2.99 at Sally Beauty on clearance.

The next morning the color turned out great and even though it was obvious to me that I missed a few spots because I didn't apply in a circular motion, it wasn't that bad in reality. It has been a week and a few showers later and the color is still going strong. I always have issues with self tanners on my chest area as it looks like I have brown chicken pocks and this formula was no exception, so if you have deep pores in your chest like I have been blessed to have I recommend skipping your chest or exfoliating well before application. I also recommend applying lotion throughout the week to better keep the tan and avoid looking chalky.

Directions:
Cut (Do Not Tear) foil on dotted line. Slide hand BETWEEN plastic liner.
Apply tanner evenly, in a circular motion, to face and body on freshly exfoliated, clean, dry skin.
Use sparingly around knees, ankles and elbows, as they tend to absorb more color.
Carefully switch hands to allow an even application over entire body. (The mitt is infused with tanner on both sides. Even when it feels dry there is still tanner in it, so keep applying in circular motions.)
Let skin dry before putting on clothing (will dry in minutes!)
Full color will develop and darken over 4-6 hours.
Re-apply for darker results. Tan will last 7-10 days.
